Job Hiring Scam Alert - January 2024
Recently, the Blueboard Information Security team was made aware of an ongoing social engineering scam wherein victims are contacted via email, Facebook, LinkedIn, or other social networking sites and interviewed by scammers impersonating Blueboard's HR team. The scammer attempts to set up fake interviews and offers the victims a position with the company. The scammer then asks for the victim's bank account, credit card, or other sensitive information in order to steal money from the victim.
Remember, the scammers will pressure you to act quickly and communicate with a sense of urgency. This is a tactic to get you to disclose sensitive information. Blueboard will never ask you for your password, bank account information, social security number, or other sensitive information during an interview or the hiring process. All our existing roles are posted on Lever, and we only accept applications through this portal.
